The Cayman Registrar has updated its annual fees for 2027. We have set out the detail below so you can see exactly what applies to your entities.
The short version: there is nothing you need to do. We will build the new fees into your 2027 annual invoice and send it ahead of the due date.
Background
The Cayman Cabinet has recently made three sets of regulations covering fees for companies, limited liability companies and exempted limited partnerships. They were published in Supplement Nos. 1, 2 and 3 of Legislation Gazette No. 39, dated 14 August.
What is changing?
Every company, partnership and LLC registered in the Cayman Islands pays an annual fee to the Cayman Registrar to keep it in good standing. From 1 January 2027, the annual fee for many types of entity will change. The new amounts are shown below.
What do you need to do?
Nothing, for now. We will include the new fees in your 2027 annual invoices and send them before the due date.
Why does this matter?
Annual fees need to be paid on time to keep an entity in good standing with the Cayman Registrar. Late payment can lead to penalties and, in serious cases, an entity may be struck off the Register. Keeping this on track is part of what we do for you.
New annual fees from 1 January 2027
Fees are set in Cayman Islands dollars (CI$). The US dollar amounts use the Registry’s exchange rate (CI$1 = US$1.22) and are for guidance only.
Exempted Companies
This table also applies to Exempted Companies that are limited by guarantee, registered by way of continuation, or of limited duration. The fee depends on the company’s share capital.
