Roman is a manager within Catalyst’s Internal Finance department and is responsible for oversight of the South African client service’s accounting function, including day to day management of internal accounts and funding requirements between the various entities within Catalyst group.

Background:

After University, Roman joined KPMG South Africa in Johannesburg in the Industrial, automotive and pharmaceutical sector for his Audit Articles. After obtaining his CA(SA) designation, he then moved on to KPMG Johannesburg’s IT Advisory and audit function, where he mostly audited entities in the financial services sector in a supervisory role.

Prior to Catalyst, Roman moved to Cape Town to work for SANNE in the Capital markets department. Here, he managed a team overseeing the fund accounting services of one of the largest SPV’s in the world.

“My interesting surname can be attributed to my Polish roots as my father came from there, so I also have an EU passport.”

In his spare time, Roman loves hiking with his wife. One of the main reasons he moved to Cape Town was because of all its natural beauty and scenic hiking routes. He is obsessed with cars and motorsport, anything with wheels really! He also has two cats, Luna and Felix, which he treats as his children.
