2026 Compliance Calendar
Cayman Islands Investment Funds

Each year, Cayman Islands investment funds and fund structures are required to meet a range of regulatory, tax transparency and governance-related filing obligations. These obligations are administered by multiple competent authorities, operating on different timelines.

Our 2026 Cayman Islands Regulatory Filing Calendar is designed as a practical reference tool for fund managers, directors and compliance teams. It brings together the key statutory deadlines falling in calendar year 2026, alongside ongoing and variable obligations that apply by reference to financial year-end or changes in status.

In response to recent regulatory developments, this calendar also includes a forward-looking note on the revised Common Reporting Standard (CRS) framework (commonly referred to in the market as “CRS 2.0”). While most CRS and FATCA filings due in 2026 remain aligned, the amendments effective from 1 January 2026 will result in earlier CRS deadlines from 2027 onwards. We have highlighted these changes so clients can plan ahead and avoid relying on legacy filing assumptions.

This calendar is intended for general guidance only and should be read in conjunction with entity-specific advice, particularly where structures are complex or subject to multiple regulatory regimes.

WHAT DOES BETTER LOOK LIKE?

The world of investment, of managing money, and in some instances, the very concept of ‘money’ is evolving at a phenomenal pace. Yet our industry is saturated with legacy systems, manual processes, and fragmented client service experiences. Financial services firms are being outpaced by their clients, inhibiting their ability to innovate and deliver the investor experience they aspire to.

We’ve found the opportunity in the paradox.

We are creating a spark in the industry by embracing innovation, automation, and high-quality, personalized client experience to deliver a service that enables our clients to succeed in a multi-jurisdictional setting.
